Who can use HiveCharge chargers?
Any EV driver whose vehicle supports CCS2 or GB/T connectors can plug in. Simply download the HiveCharge app, find and navigate to a charger, scan the QR code on the charger, and start charging.
What plug types are supported?
HiveCharge stations currently support CCS2 and GB/T standards.
Where will the first chargers be installed?
Our Phase-1 rollout focuses on high-traffic areas such as Deira, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, Sports City and Al Barsha, with more sites added every month.
How long does a charge take?
A 120 kW DC fast charger can add ~100 km of range in about 10 minutes, depending on your vehicle’s battery and state of charge.
How much does it cost to charge?
HiveCharge follows DEWA’s regulated tariff. Today the maximum public fee is AED 1.20 /kWh, inclusive of energy and surcharges. Your estimated session cost is displayed in-app before you start charging.
Which payment methods are supported?
You can pay by Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit/debit cards, or a prepaid HiveCharge balance topped-up in the app for corporate fleet accounts.
Do I need to stay with my car?
No. You’ll receive a push notification when charging reaches your chosen level (or when the session ends). Idle-time fees may apply if the car isn’t moved within a grace period so the next driver can plug in.
